ABOUT US— INNOVATIVE AUTOSPORTS

Charlie Lacy

Charlie Lacy is the technical expert and co-founder of Innovative Autosports, your source for practical, mechanical automotive excellence. As the leader in professional motorsports support, Charlie focuses on building relationships with drivers and their cars through performance upgrades, suspension modifications, custom fabrication, and track preparation as well as general maintenance.

A native of Texas, Charlie’s enthusiasm for cars began with a 1967 Karmann Ghia and then moved on to standards such as a 1968 Cougar, then at age 16, a 1968 Mustang. His love for old classics remains strong, even as he performs highly technical services for today’s modern masterpieces that include Porsche® GT3 Cup Cars, Spec Boxsters, Porsche® 996, 997, 991, Cayman 987, Bentleys, and more.

After graduating from Universal Technical Institute, Charlie attended Audi Technician School and later became a Porsche® Certified Technician as well as an ASE Master Certified Technician. He has additional training and skills for MIG and TIG welding to create custom roll cages and exhaust systems.

Charlie holds licenses for both PCA Club Racing and NASA Club Racing, with experience that includes Spec996 and SpecBoxster racing, as well as countless track hours for test and tune events where he brings his passion for purpose-built masterpieces into play, threading through corners and rocketing down the straights with the tenured enthusiasm and excitement he shares with fellow racers.

When he is not working in his shop, testing and tuning cars at the track or supporting race events, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and tinkering on his vintage tractor.

Daniel Guzman

Technician Daniel Guzman’s first car was a Mazda, which lead him to attend Universal Technical Institute and later to become a Certified Master Technician at Mazda. He enjoys the different aspects of automotive repair, restoration and maintenance, working side by side with Charlie in the shop. While Daniel’s dream car would be a fully restored 1968 Dodge Charger, he is enthusiastic to work at Innovative Autosports where he can focus daily on fast cars with great sounds.
